Frankenstein

Solo exhibition, Daniel Tuomey

17 April — 9 May 2021

Frankenstein is a frame-by-frame animation by Rotterdam-based artist Daniel Tuomey. The work was made in the past year in lockdown during the pandemic, and combines drawings, assemblage, and a soundtrack made by the artist, departing from Mary Shelley's 1818 novel of the same title.

Daniel Tuomey lives and works in Rotterdam. He got his BA in NCAD, Dublin in 2012 and an MFA in the Piet Zwart Institute, Rotterdam in 2017. His work is concerned with articulating moments of crisis in the edifice of masculinity.
